It has been quite a while since we have heard anything substantial about the iPhone 5, but we have some information for you. Below is a list of all of the events and details that we know of to date.

A few rumors have been circulating about the possibility of the iPhone 5 being flexible to the point that it can bend. This would be an interesting feature, especially for those who like to play games from the App Store.  Nokia has already announced that its’ next tablet will be able to bend in all ways, a first in the tech sector.

The iPhone 4S benchmarks came in and we are blown away. It is hands down the best phone available with nothing else coming close. If you don’t mind the 3.5 inch screen, there is no other phone you should be buying. Here are the benchmarks:

Rumors have been swirling about the iPhone 5 and whether or not it will have 4G LTE connectivity. If the answer is yes it will, Apple will have to go through the headaches of fitting in another modem to allow for 4G connectivity. This is something that Apple will probably eventually do but it is still up

Within 24 hours of opening pre-orders for the new iPhone 4S, Apple has pushed back the expected shipping times for the deliver of the iPhones an estimated one or two weeks. Apple began to take pre-orders online through the Apple website at approximately 12:01AM PST on Friday.

The Wall Street Journal has confirmed that Sprint will be offering an unlimited data plan for the iPhone. Sprint will be the only US carrier to offer such a plan. Currently, Sprint plans on offering a $69.99 unlimited data plan with 450 minutes or a $99 plan that offers unlimited data and calls.

Let’s put the iPhone 5 talk aside for a moment. In a shocking press release, Apple has announced the death of co-founder Steve Jobs. Finally, Apple has decided to put its acquisition of Siri to good use. Since acquiring Siri a year ago, Apple has not used the voice assistance technology much. However, Apple has been working diligently on adding the technology into iOS 5.

Apple officially announced the iPhone 4S at today’s event. It will be available to pre-order on Friday October 7th, and will go on sale on October 14th. It has a new antenna design that allows for file transfers twice as fast as the iPhone 4, as well as a voice recognition function for a whole new hands
